ESSENTIAL OIL BLEND

Lemongrass Oil has a citrusy-sweet lemon “top note” but is camphoraceous at the same time. It has analgesic, an antidepressant, antimicrobial and has antiseptic properties.

May Chang Oil is a citrus oil but with a longer lasting “mid note” than most of the Rutaceae (fruit) family of plants. It happens to have antibacterial properties too which means it’ll help clear up that spot of acne. This is handy if you’re shaving as you’re often taking the first layer of skin off with that unwanted hair.

Tea Tree Oil, like eucalyptus oil, is a member of the Myrtaceae family of plants and therefore has its own collection of beneficial qualities. anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. Thanks to these properties, tea tree oil is excellent in fighting against acne, soothing skin ailments and promoting healthy skin.

Key Components

Coconut Oil is well known for its softening effects, it is rich in vitamin E and proteins which moisturise and protect the skin. We use quite a lot of it in this recipe so we always use the organic variety so that nothing useful to the skin is lost at growth or in the processing stages.

Castor Oil. As with the majority of our ingredients, the castor oil we use is organic and hexane-free. You can’t use too much in soap making but the right amount helps make the smoothest of creamy soaps.

Avocado Oil is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins A, B, D and E, and is very versatile. We use it in skincare and haircare recipes for its moisturising and hydrating properties and because it has the most amazing dark green hue which deepens the creamy colour of this soap bar.

Sea Salt is no less beneficial than its well respected cousin, rock salt. In fact, unlike rock salt, sea salt contains iodine, often used topically in medicine for the skin to treat or prevent skin infection and therefore it’s more protective in skincare than rock salt. However, if you want to keep your sodium levels lower, go for the rock salt on your fish n chips!

Ingredients:

Sodium Cocoate (Coconut oil), Maris Sal (Sea Salt), Glycerin, Sodium Castorate (Castor Oil), Sodium Avocadoate (Avocado Oil), Cocos Nucifera Fruit Juice (Coconut Milk), Cymbopogon Citratus Leaf Oil (Lemongrass), Litsea Cubeba Fruit Oil (May Chang), Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil (Tea Tree).

Naturally occurring in essential oils: Citral, Geraniol, Limonene, Citronellol, Linalool.

Formulation

All Tantrum Scentrum formulations are unique recipes assessed by Cosmetic Safety Assessors accredited by the UK and EU.

Our soap has non-drying formulae providing the joy of smooth, intense moisture for nourished skin. None of the glycerin is removed unlike mass-produced soap. Glycerin is a naturally occurring result of saponification (the process soap goes through when its curing) and as glycerin is a humectant (a substance that helps reduce the loss of skin moisture) you don’t have that dried palm sensation.
